Amuma is a London-based design and development company committed to urban regeneration and creating affordable, sustainable places for all. With 50 years of combined experience in the industry, the founders have a particular expertise in complex, high-profile urban sites across the living, workplace, and hospitality sectors. Their work has received multiple awards for placemaking and design quality.

Murray and Marta worked together for over a decade at Squire and Partners. They developed an effective collaborative design ethos that led to a significant number of successful award winning projects both in the UK and internationally. Their shared vision and passion for creating enduring places at all scales led them to launch Amuma Projects.
Marta is Co-founder of Amuma Projects with over a decade of experience across residential, mixed-use, commercial and masterplanning projects in the UK and internationally. She studied architecture at the University of Cambridge, graduating with the Best Environmental Design award and a scholarship for women in architecture, and brings a design approach grounded in analysis, sustainability and placemaking.
Marta leads concept design, spatial strategy and design quality, combining creative leadership with strong expertise in viability, planning and delivery. Her experience includes major developments such as Brent Cross Town, large-scale offices in Manchester, and international masterplanning.
Murray is Co-founder of Amuma Projects with over 30 years’ experience as a partner at one of the UK’s leading architectural practices. He specialises in client relationships, project strategy and early-stage design, with deep expertise in complex planning environments across London he has successfully helped to obtain planning consents in most of the London Boroughs.
Murray has led the design and delivery of over 100 projects across residential, workspace and hospitality sectors, including multiple RIBA and Civic Trust award-winning schemes such as Mayfair House, Reiss HQ and One Tower Bridge. He is currently advising the Design Museum on new interventions to enhance the visitor experience.
